Molokai Moonlit Waterfall
This is a soft, velour, 18” pillow cover has the vibrant print of my acrylic painting called Molokai Moonlit Waterfall on front and back. Immediately after painting this piece I was caught by such surprise to see it had unearthed a memory of an extraordinary experience I was blessed to have on a small plane flight along the steep cliffs of Molokai. A memory I somehow rarely revisited in 35 years (see my homepage for more details). This past challenging year was a perfect time for the memory to rise back up. It gave me such comfort and joy to realize that the energy of that peak experience lives on inside me. Art can be that way. I invite you to join me in the act of pushing paint around on a simple surfaces to see what rises up for you. Until then I hope you enjoy these colors and spontaneous brush strokes of purple, aqua and yellow.
